Student Ministry
The Jersey Village Baptist Church Student Ministry exists for students to encounter other students, to exalt God, to equip believers, to exercise one's faith, and to expand the kingdom of God. Our two main programs are "Two or More" and IMPACT. Our hope is that students will encounter Jesus Christ, come to have a personal relationship with Him that transforms them, and that they would live a life following Christ and becoming more like Him.

IMPACT
is the core of our small groups. We desire that each
student be connected to a small group so that they can
encounter other students and experience real fellowship.
Each group consists of 6-12 students with an adult role
model. The goal of IMPACT is to develop an atmosphere where
students can become transparent with each other so that
one's faith can mature, where encouragement to one's Christian
walk can be provided, and where each student will know
an adult who can minister to his or her needs. Middle School groups meet at 9:15 a.m. on Sundays, and High School groups meet at 10:45 a.m.

OR MORE Wednesdays

"Two or More" is a time where students come
together for the purpose of meeting each other and worshipping
their God. It is a youth worship service that is planned
to communicate the gospel to the teenage generation of
the 21st century. There is a student worship band, drama,
games, and a message relevant for what students face
every day. The focal goal of this time is to provide
an atmosphere where it is easy to invite a non-Christian
to check out a community of believers worshipping their
God.

The Men of Issachar, a men's Bible study and prayer group at JVBC, realized a need to provide financial assistance to graduating students in our youth programs. As a result, they established the JVBC Youth Scholarship Fund. Rising college costs are no secret to families who have young children with college plans. The Fund will help offset a portion of these expenses as it encourages and rewards students who have proven themselves spiritual leaders among their peers.

We think it is important to keep parents and leaders informed of upcoming Student Ministry events and issues that teenagers deal with today. Our Student Ministry hosts a Parents Summit four times a year.
