And as they were going along the road they came to some water, and the eunuch said, “See, here is water! What prevents me from being baptized?” - Acts 8:36

We believe that the Bible teaches that people who trust in Christ are to be baptized after they profess Christ as their Savior. Many come from denominations that sprinkle (baptize) infants. As fellow Christians, we respect those traditions, however, we believe that the Bible teaches clearly that baptism is an event that happens after someone surrenders their life to Christ.

If you have admitted you are a sinner, believed that Jesus died for your sins, and have confessed Jesus to be your Savior, then you are saved. Baptism doesn't save you from your sins. Baptism is a public profession of the work that Jesus has done in your heart. When one is immersed under the water, it is symbolic of the dying of our old self. Coming out of the water is a symbol to rising again in the new life that Jesus has promised us in Him, a life forgiven and free from the bondage of sin. It is not the end of your salvation experience. It is the beginning.

If you have professed Christ to be your Savior and have not been baptized, we would love to baptize you in our next baptism service. Please contact Kim Cromwell to sign up.
