Membership at JVBC

We welcome all to come worship at JVBC and participate in ministry. Membership is open to any person who identifies with Jesus Christ, professes Him as Lord and Savior, and has been baptized by immersion. We encourage anyone interested in taking the step of membership to meet with a Pastor. Baptism counseling is available for children, students and adults alike. Please contact:

How to Join the Church

To join the church, or to ask any questions, please speak to a minister during the invitation time at the end of the service, or contact a Minister at your convenience (713-466-6102). There are several ways to join our church:

• If you are a new Christian, you may join by profession of faith in Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior and as a candidate for baptism.

• If your previous church involvement has been in a non-Baptist church, you may join as a Christian from another denomination and as a candidate for baptism.

• If you are currently a member of another Baptist church, you may join by transfer of letter or membership.

• If you are a former Baptist or were baptized by immersion, you may join by statement of your faith and obedience in baptism.
